Mounting and oil checks
This gearbox follows the newer OEM-style design. Some mower decks may need modification or a newer mounting bracket for fitment. Confirm the bracket arrangement with the correct parts diagram before installation; contact us with photos if the housing or connections do not align. Always check the gearbox oil before use, even if oil is already present. Use the oil specified by the OEM for your exact mower deck and fill to the OEM-specified level. Follow the manual’s checking position and procedure; do not overfill. Do not operate with an active oil leak, damaged housing or a loose or missing housing cap. If the oil-check plug will not release normally, stop and contact us with photos before rounding the plug or damaging the housing.
