Purchased 1st motor in 12/2015 and it worked fine until now (2/2019). After removing the 4 screws that connected the motor to the gear housing I found water in the case. Pulled the motor out and dried out the parts, greased up the ends and managed to get brushes back over the armature and reassembled. Much to my surprise it worked but not sure how long it will last. Water in the case was the demise of the one replaced in 2015. I'm going to smear sealant around the cover under the exposed gear on the new one. That might be where the water enters the case. There is a plastic shield over the assembly but melting snow still gets on the gear cover. Maybe I can get a couple more years out of this motor. I'm still happy with the price and the purchase.
