Ships dry: add gear oil before use

It has only been 2 weeks since I installed this part but I mow 3 to 4 acres per week. Mower deck is like it was 10 years ago when I purchased it new.
I ordered an RCK54-23BX gearbox, K5361-33103, for my 54" mower deck. Kubota priced same item, same part number, same color, $500 online to $900 local dealer higher.
