Drive Shaft fits John Deere 317 tractor AM37875 Driveshaft Transmission Axle

This part requires some modification to fit John Deere X300 steering wheel. It is necessary to file/grind the spline of the steering shaft to make it work, which is straightforward. Customer service was quick and exceptional. Tractor steers like new now.

This part was a perfect fit. The dimensions were identical to the original part. It took a couple to install. Definitely need to remove the mower deck for easiest installation. Will also require you to remove the gear box bracket. Once installed I added the gearbox oil (80 weight). It worked great. I cut 2 acres of grass with no issues. Thank goodness began making this part. I could not find one anywhere. Saved me from having to buy a new tractor.
