This is an aftermarket mower deck spindle for compatible John Deere equipment. The spindle is part of the mower deck drive and blade system, supporting the blade and allowing it to turn properly under belt power. Replace it when the original spindle is noisy, loose, damaged, or no longer holding the blade true.

This replacement spindle is made to match the original part’s fit and function for the correct deck application. Installation
Installation is a typical bolt-on deck spindle replacement using normal shop tools. Remove the belt, blade, and pulley as needed, unbolt the worn spindle, and install this unit in the same location with the existing hardware if it is still serviceable. Before tearing down the deck, confirm it is the correct 60" deck or 160 rotary mower application with the proper serial number range.
